Volunteer at the Columbus Vegan Festival
Volunteers play an important role in helping to keep this festival free for attendees. Volunteers will get a Columbus Vegan Festival t-shirt, snacks and beverages, and the opportunity to help create something special. Go behind the scenes and see how it all works and meet the folks who make it happen! Plus meet other wonderful volunteers and make new friends.
Volunteer with one of our festival teams:
Promotions – Distribute flyers, posters, postcards to local coffee shops, bookstores, and
wherever interesting people might be found! Coordinate social media and other marketing
efforts.
Exhibitors – help recruit veg-friendly vendors and non-profits to be part of the festival. The
more exhibitors the better the experience for attendees.
Logistics – Team will work on festival layout, ordering tables, chairs, tents, work with city on
permits and inspections, coordinate trash/recycling
Entertainment/Speakers – help with the educational and entertainment part of the Vegfest.
Team members will work with speakers, musicians, yoga and kids area programs
Fundraising – To keep the festival free for attendees we need help raising funds to support
the event. Funds come from a combination of special events, sponsors, exhibitors and
donations.

To put on a free event like this we need a lot of people to help. We are requesting volunteers to sign up for to a 3 hour shift during the day.
We need help for the following times/tasks:
Friday August 23, 2019
3:00pm – 6:00pm
• Festival Set-up – Help with tables, chairs, signs and last minute cleaning of event space to prepare for festival.
Saturday, August 24, 2019
8:00am – 11:00am
• Festival Set-up – Help with tables, chairs, signs, direct exhibitors to their tables, etc…
10:00am – 1:00pm
• Welcome Team/Info Desk – Distribute programs, answer questions and direct people around the festival.
• Green Team – Help make our festival green by helping with trash, recycling and compost!
• Stage Team – Assist speakers, make announcements to introduce speakers if necessary, help keep the area clean through out the day.
• Kids and Family Area – Assist kids with games and activities and help keep area clean.
• Food Truck/Food Court Team -Assist with food vendors and area cleanup.
• Floating Team – Assist with whatever the Festival Director(s) need help with.
1:00pm – 4:00pm
